Arkham City Review

As plenty of you are probably aware, the highly anticipated video game Arkham City was released on October 18th. Well, I was lucky enough to bolt from work and attend the NYC Toys ‘R’ Us launch event at Times Square, and picked up my copy a day early!

I’ve been playing it since then, and whipped up a review for the gang over at Kabooooom.com. I may or may not have compared Batman to Navi from Ocarina of TimeClick here to check out the full review!

NYCC Interview with Dapper Men’s Janet Lee

At New York Comic Con this year, I had the chance to sit down with Janet Lee, illustrator for the Eisner-award-winning Dapper Men! She talked about what’s coming up in Dapper Men, her work on Marvel’s Emma adaptation, her future projects, and her process for creating every elaborate comic page. There’s even a sneak peek of next year’s work! She was such a sweetheart.

I’ll be at NYCC!

Hey, everyone! Many of you have asked if I’ll be attending New York Comic Con this weekend. The answer is yes!

Detective Elisa Maza

I’ll be wearing a Press badge, and I’ll be costumed as Detective Elisa Maza from the 90s cartoon Gargoyles. Keep an eye out for the bright red leather jacket! And if you can’t find me but want to meet up, just send me a note over Twitter @ilikecomicstoo and I can let you know where in the convention center I am at the moment.

Plus, here are some panels I will most likely be attending (and that I suggest you attend, too). See you there!

Interview with Stan Lee

I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Stan Lee at the Animazing Gallery in New York City (which, by the way, is a great place, so you should definitely check it out if you’re in the neighborhood).  He talked to me about many of his upcoming projects, including his company POW! Entertainment and his collaborations with Boom Studios and Archie Comics.  It was a real honor meeting him!  Such a sweet man.

Also, if you get the chance, be sure to look up artist Jorge Burtin.  He had a number of truly amazing pixaic works (including two incredible ones of Thor and Iron Man) for sale at the gallery.  All profits went to the Stan Lee Foundation, which I thought was fantastic.  I think we should be highly supportive of artists that use their talents for such selfless causes!

The header image used for this post is from the Amazing Spider-Man #600 cover by John Romita Jr., © Marvel, which was featured at the gallery.
